Thank you for downloading the AutoCAD® WS Plug-in.
AutoCAD® WS web-based software allows you to edit and collaborate on AutoCAD drawings through a web browser or mobile device with colleagues and clients. This plug-in introduces the Online ribbon tab where you can access AutoCAD WS functionality from within AutoCAD® software.
On the Online ribbon tab, you can find tools to edit the current drawing using the web application and view previous versions of the available drawings. You can also upload, manage and sync other drawings and files stored in your computer to the web. You will find tools to invite colleagues and clients to edit and review the comments made to the drawings in real-time.
Note: The AutoCAD WS collaborative design environment is an online service; please ensure you are connected to the Internet before using any of the AutoCAD WS plug-in features.
This document gives an overview of the tools supported in AutoCAD products. For more information about AutoCAD WS tools, visit the AutoCAD WS tutorials website. Note that the AutoCAD WS website and the user interface are currently available in US English only.
Note: The AutoCAD 2010 Help is not updated to include these new features, but you can find information about these features in this Readme. Pressing F1 from the icons on the Online ribbon tab and toolbar does not display the Help pages.

AutoCAD WS supports only 2D drawings and uses RealDWG™ technology for reading and writing AutoCAD DWG™ and DXF™ files. But due to various limitations, there may be some entities that are not supported or might not display exactly as they would appear in the desktop application. For an updated list of unsupported features in AutoCAD WS, visit the AutoCAD WS Known Limitations website. The list is subject to change, and may not contain all the limitations.
Default Web Browser
When using any of the online features in a 64-bit version of AutoCAD to access AutoCAD WS services, Internet Explorer is launched regardless of your default browser.
Custom Ojects
AutoCAD WS does not support the editing of custom objects created by AutoCAD based products such as AutoCAD Civil 3D. These objects can be viewed online by enabling proxy graphics.
On the command line, enter proxygraphics and enter 1 to enable the proxy graphics to display custom objects created from an AutoCAd-based product in AutoCAD WS. Otherwise, a bounding box is displayed in AutoCAD WS. For more information about custom objects support, see the "Work with Custom and Proxy Objects" section in the AutoCAD 2010 User's Guide.
